Importance of Dubai City Tour
Dubai is the most dynamic and lively city in the gulf region of Emirates i.e. UAE. Although Dubai City is ranked as the most expensive city in 2012, the modern Dubai has become the hub of tourism. Dubai’s Governmental policy includes tourism as a main economic strategy. Dubai City tours can make you gather a baggage of exciting and adventurous memories as it did to me when I went for the Dubai City Tour with the memorable service of FunDesertSafari.
My Dubai City Tours – A Review
When visiting Dubai, you can choose whatever package you like for Dubai City Tour. You can also have the Half Day sightseeing or the Dubai Safari Tour. I chose the City tour as I wanted to explore the beauty and history behind this modernized city. My tour story will definitely help you choose your places to visit the next time you visit Dubai.
Starting with Bastakia
It was the most exciting day of my life when we started off the journey at 9 in the morning. Our target was to visit all the most popular and worth seeing places of Dubai so we started our tour with Bastakia, the old Dubai as I am a heritage lover.
Sometimes called the Al-Fahadi neighborhood, Bastakia quarters were a home to the wealthy merchants for trading in the late 19th century. I wondered how it looked like back then. The buildings were of beautiful coral and limestones with towers for air crossing.
The narrow lanes leaded toward the Majlis Gallery and the XVA Gallery. I was amazed to see the detailing of the architect however it was made more than a century ago.
Holy Visit to Jumeirah Mosque
After that we headed toward the Jumeirah Mosque; the most beautiful mosque in Dubai. The mosque is an exact copy of Cairo’s Al-Azhar Mosque that is eight times its size, depicting the Islamic heritage and culture.
This stone structure is built in the medieval Fatimid tradition, with two minarets that display the subtle details in the stonework. It is particularly attractive in the evening when lit with floodlights. Alas I couldn’t see the mosque flooded with light s as my visit happened to be in the daylight.
Jumeirah Beach – For Some Excitement
Next stop was Jumeirah beach. Now we were heading towards the modern Dubai. Plenty of sunshine, lots of water with a sandy platform to enjoy and play your heart out is what the Jumeirah beach is all about. Covered with hotels and stay lounges, the beach view drives people crazy to book a room near it. The jet skiing was an addition to the fun of the beach life.
BurjKhalifa – The Dream
Who can simply come back from Dubai without setting his foot in the landmark building of Dubai, the BurjKhalifa. The 829.8 meters tall building is the highestbuilding in the world is dream of everyone in Dubai city tour.Buy your BurjKhalifa “At the Top” Entrance Ticket in advance to avoid long line-ups, especially if you are planning to visit on a weekend.
The trip to the 124th floor observation deck is a must do as it was worth the wait for me. The elevator just whizzed me up in a 360 degree angle and I was able to have a bird’s eye view of the whole city from that height.
Mall of Dubai for Shopping
Mall of Dubai was our next destination. The most beautiful and magnetic mall of Dubai, the mall of Dubai is famous for its surreal Ski Dubai facility inside.
When we visited there the indoor ski slope was completed with chairlifts and a penguin enclosure, all at a continuous temperature of -4 degrees Celsius. It was the coldest experience in the hottest of the cities.
Our trip ended with the visit of the Dubai Aquarium on the Sheikh Zayed Road. One of the city’s top tourist attractions, the Dubai Aquarium houses 140 species of sea life in the huge suspended tank on the ground floor of the Dubai Mall.
As well as free viewing from the mall, if you enter the Underwater Zoo, you can walk through the aquarium tunnels.
Dubai City Tour – What it Costs?
There are so many worth seeing places in Dubai which you can visit if you have a lot of time because the beauty of this city cannot be admired in a single day. The aqua water park, Dubai museum, Kite beach, Burjul Arab, and Palm islands are my next trip’s destinations so make them yours too.
If you are planning to have a Dubai City Tour with Fun Desert Safari Dubai, you should have a look at their offers and packages. And if you include some more visits like Abu Dhabi City
